Website and AI Readiness
A showroom-grade front door.
A luxury home technology firm rebuilds its website, then maps where AI fits in the business behind it.
How Avolis rebuilt the website for a premier luxury home technology firm, presented its best work to buyers, and ran a full-team AI Readiness Evaluation in parallel. Eight days after launch, a golf simulator demo request arrived through the new site.

01 · The Company
Two decades of craft, built for luxury homes.
The firm designs, installs, and services home automation, audio and video, architectural lighting, motorized shades, and electrical systems for luxury residences, and operates a showroom where buyers can experience the technology in person. Founder-led and in business for more than two decades, it has grown from a small installation crew into a nationally recognized integrator serving homeowners, architects, builders, and designers.
The firm operates with a lean office and a group of department heads who each oversee a broad scope: sales, service, purchasing, electrical, and shades. Every project begins with a detailed proposal, and each hour spent assembling documents or tracking down information is an hour taken from clients and the jobsite.
The Industry
Residential technology integration is a large, competitive, and labor-constrained category. CEDIA's 2026 research sizes the U.S. market at $33.8 billion across roughly 23,000 establishments, most of them small. Staffing skilled workers ranks as the industry's leading challenge, cited by more than a quarter of firms and nearly three times as often as any other response. AI adoption is already underway, with 79 percent of firms reporting increased use of AI in running their own businesses. In this environment, leading firms distinguish themselves in two areas: how they present themselves to buyers, and how much of their team's time is directed toward work that requires people.

02 · The Starting Point
A world-class portfolio behind an outdated front door.
The firm's work is compelling in person. Online, the previous website did not reflect the caliber of the homes the team delivers, and it offered prospective buyers no simple way to make an inquiry.
Behind the website, the business faced the same pressures common to growing integrators:
An outdated website
The site no longer represented the quality of the work, and the golf simulator, one of the firm's most compelling offerings, did not appear on it at all.
No lead capture
Buyers had no way to request a demo or submit their contact information online.
A heavy proposal workload
Proposal development accounted for an estimated 14 percent of total team capacity, concentrated in two people. Six of eight team members contributed to proposals in some way.
A team at capacity
None of the eight people surveyed reported having capacity for additional work.
A fragmented set of systems
The team reported 13 different platforms in use, with no single platform shared by everyone.
The firm needed a website that matched the standard of its work, along with a clear view of where AI could return time to a team operating at full capacity.
The work was world-class. The website needed to show it.
03 · How the Engagement Took Shape
Two tracks, running side by side.
The engagement opened with a single kickoff that established two parallel workstreams: a full rebuild of the website, and an AI Readiness Evaluation across the entire team.
Avolis ran both the way it runs every engagement: working closely with the people doing the work, accountable for the outcome, and grounded in the firm's day-to-day operations. The website was designed around how buyers select a luxury home technology partner. The evaluation was designed around how each team member spends their week.

04 · What Avolis Built
A website built to sell the work.
Avolis rebuilt the site around a single principle: lead with the homes. Buyers in this market are selecting a partner for a significant, long-term investment, and the site now shows them what that partnership looks like.
The Showcase
The Path to a Conversation
Every page includes a Book a Demo call to action and click-to-call, so a buyer who is ready can reach the team in a single step. A dedicated section speaks directly to the builders and designers the firm partners with.
The AI Assistant
Avolis built a custom AI assistant into the site, trained on the firm's own sales and service FAQs. It answers common questions at any hour and guides interested visitors toward scheduling a showroom demo.
Work-first showcase

05 · The First Result
A new lead, for an offering the old site never showed.
The firm asked to launch as soon as possible. It had advertising running and wanted that traffic directed to the new site. Avolis launched it with Book a Demo on every page and the full online showroom in place.
Eight days after launch, during the evaluation findings session, the firm's business development and sales lead reported a result. A prospective buyer had submitted a request through the new website that morning for a demo of the golf simulator, an offering that previously could only be discovered through the firm's social media channels.
The same day, the sales lead shared the new site on the firm's social channels.
“The website's been good. I've gotten a golf simulator lead off the website.”

06 · Behind the Front Door
A clear map of where AI pays off.
Every team member invited to the AI Readiness Evaluation completed it, eight of eight. The findings were consistent: proposal development represented one of the largest areas of manual effort in the business, concentrated in two people. Leadership agreed on a sequence of priorities and the governance to support them.
Priority 01 · Takeoffs
Accelerate material takeoffs for the electrical team.
First workflow build underway
Priority 02 · Proposals
Reduce the time required to turn a design into a client-ready proposal.
Addresses an estimated 14 percent of team capacity
Priority 03 · Billing
Reduce manual effort in the billing process.

What Changed Underneath the Numbers
A firm presented the way it performs
The work the firm is proudest of is now the first thing a buyer sees, and a buyer who is ready can request a demo in a single step. Behind the website, leadership has a drafted AI use policy, an internal champion, and a prioritized list of the workflows where AI will return time to the team.
The partnership continues with coaching for the internal champion and the first workflow builds, beginning with takeoffs and proposals.

09 · What the Engagement Replaces
Four separate providers, one partner.
A firm assembling this scope independently would need to engage providers across four separate markets. Benchmarked against current national market rates for each function, the typical alternatives are as follows:
Function & Typical Alternative
Est. Market Cost
Website rebuild and online showroom
~$5K–$15K
Web design agency
Custom AI website assistant
~$10K–$30K
AI chatbot developer
AI readiness evaluation, roadmap, and use policy
~$5K–$25K
AI strategy consultancy
Coaching for an internal AI champion
~$9K–$21K
Executive coach · one six-month program
Assembled independently
~$29K–$91K
The dollar figure also understates the difference. Each provider's responsibility ends with its own deliverable: the agency delivers the site, the developer delivers the assistant, and the consultant delivers a roadmap. Avolis delivered the full scope as a single partner accountable for the outcome, with the website and the AI roadmap informed by the same understanding of the business.
The comparison is deliberately conservative: it reflects functional coverage rather than actual purchases, uses the low end of published market ranges where tiers vary, and excludes software licensing, ongoing maintenance, and the cost of coordinating multiple vendors.
